What's it like to work in Dublin?

Google opened its doors in the centre of Dublin in 2003. Since then, we’ve grown rapidly to become one of the city’s most notable employers. Already there are nearly 2000 people working here (making it a buzzing and exciting place to work) and even though we are still relatively new to Dublin, we’ve been voted one of Ireland’s "Best Companies to Work For" in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

What we do in Dublin is help millions of Google users and customers right across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) to get the most from our products. Google’s Dublin office is the EMEA Operations Headquarters. That means we support everyone who uses our products: the search engine that we are most known for, plus consumer products like Gmail and Calendar, advertising products like AdWords and AdSense, right through to business solutions for major corporations. In Dublin we also build on our existing products and create new ones, employing some of the finest engineering talent in the world. Many of the Dublin-based teams are engaged in supporting other Google offices across the EMEA region, working in areas like finance, payroll, legal, and HR.

The environment in the Dublin office is unique. For one thing, it’s incredibly international. We support more than 25 countries here, and on any given day you can hear up to 50 different languages spoken around the office. Google’s focus is on excellence while having fun, so while we do work hard we also make sure it’s a pleasure to come to work everyday.
